When our son was 18 months old he was diagnosed with stage three malignant melanoma–
a well-known skin cancer amongst adults, but virtually unheard of in children. After a year of treatment, we were given the green light to proceed with life as normal. As we were living in sunny Bangkok, Thailand, this turned out to be quite a daunting task. We searched endlessly for full-length, lightweight clothing that would protect our son's skin. As luck would have it, some chemists were also hard at work creating UPF 50+ protection to lightweight fabrics. Finally we found a source that could produce the exact fabric needed for fun, lightweight, sun protective clothing. The result is Lemonade Wear–breathable, 100% cotton clothes with UPF 50+ sun protection. Smart play clothes that have been designed to protect children's delicate skin from the sun's harmful rays. In designs kids will feel comfortable wearing all-day, everyday, whether they're in the sun, or not.
